This is a super-easy fish stew recipe, and it only needs 3 key ingredients, fish fillet, tomato & kimchi. It combines the savory of kimchi and sourness of tomato, amazing taste! You can serve the fish stew with rice or bread.

Easy Fish Stew with Tomato

Preparation Time: 15mins

Cooking Time: 15mins

ingredients

Tilapia fish fillet: 350g , 2-3pieces
Tomato: 350g, 2small-medium tomato
Kimchi: 100g with 10g Kimchi juice
Rice wine: 1tsp
Blackpepper: 1 pinch
Corn starch: 1/2tsp
Cooking oil: 1tbsp
Salt: 1/4tsp(1.25ml)
Water: 3/4cup

instructions

Cut fish fillet into pieces, ~2cm.
Add 1tsp rice wine, 1/2tsp corn starch, & a pinch of black pepper into the fish fillet, mix well. Set aside for 10mins.

Cut tomato into small or medium chunks.
Pre-heat the pot with medium heat for 2mins, add 1tbsp cooking oil.
Add the sliced tomato into the pot, cook for about 2mins until tomato becomes soft.
Add Kimchi and kimchi juice, stir and mix well.

Add 3/4cup water, bring to the boil.
Add fish fillet into the pot, stir gently. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5mins.
Add salt and garnish with scallion before serving.
