Moist Chocolate Cupcake

This recipe gives very moist and fluffy chocolate cupcake. The addition of dark chocolate and cocoa powder make it super-chocolatey. If you are a chocolate lover, you must like it. No need to beaten egg or butter, it just needs simple mixing of a few ingredients and creates way better cupcake than any box cake mixes.

Moist Chocolate Cupcake
Preparation Time: 30mins
Cooking Time: 16mins

ingredients

  • Dark chocolate: 100g
  • Unsalted butter: 120g
  • Cake flour: 120g
  • Cocoa powder: 20g
  • Baking powder: 1/2tsp
  • Egg: 1
  • Sugar: 70g
  • Milk: 60ml

Note: the above ingredients can make 12cupcakes.

  • Pre-heat some water(1-2cups) in a pot, cut butter and chocolate into small pieces, put into a bowl. Place the bowl into boiled water, melt over medium-low heat, stir until smooth. Set aside to cool down.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg, sugar, and milk. Whisk together.
  • Add the butter chocolate mixture into egg mixture, mix well.

  • Measure cake flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, place in the same bowl.
  • Sift the flour into the mixture, mix until well combined.

  • Place 12 standard cupcake liners into muffin pan, pour the batter into cupcake liner.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 355°F. I normally start pre-heating the oven when I pour the batter into cupcake liner, since it takes about 10-15mins for oven pre-heating.
  • Bake at 355°F for 16mins.
