Taiwanese sesame oil chicken soup (麻油鸡汤, ma you ji tang) is a traditional Taiwanese dish with sesame oil, ginger and rice wine. My husband 's family is from Taiwan, they love sesame oil chicken soup a lot. Some recipes call a lot of rice wine, we don't like the overwhelming wine flavor, I just add 1tbsp cooking wine which still makes a great chicken soup. The simplest version is to only use chicken as the main ingredients, sometime I add veggies, tomato and mushroom to enrich it. We like chicken lover a lot, so I use a small amount chicken love. Chicken soup can be served with rice, noodles or bread.
